Welcome to Piazza Sorrento, a delightful culinary gem nestled in the heart of Krefeld, Germany, at Petersstraße 143. This Italian restaurant is a must-visit for those yearning for an authentic taste of Italy, especially the vibrant flavors of Naples. Renowned for its exquisite Napoletano pizza, Piazza Sorrento has quickly become a beloved destination among locals and visitors alike.

Upon entering, you’ll be greeted by the warm and inviting atmosphere that radiates a genuine Italian charm. The ambient lighting and rustic decor create a cozy yet bustling environment, making it perfect for a romantic dinner, family gatherings, or a casual outing with friends. However, do take note: it’s especially popular during Friday evenings, with many reviews indicating the restaurant fills up quickly—reservations are highly recommended!

Piazza Sorrento specializes in an impressive array of dishes that celebrate authentic Italian cuisine. Guests rave about the thin-crust pizzas that are a true testament to Neapolitan cooking. Picture this: a crust that’s beautifully charred with a delightful chewiness, topped with the freshest ingredients, from luscious San Marzano tomatoes to creamy fior di latte and aromatic basil. The flavors here are vivid and honest, transporting you straight to the bustling streets of Naples with every bite.

Not only does Piazza Sorrento excel in pizza, but their antipasto selections also draw praise. Customers have relished the variety that tantalizes the palate, making each meal a unique experience. Edgar Martinez, a satisfied diner, eloquently stated, "Simply amazing experience!" highlighting the blend of delightful flavors and stellar service. Indeed, the devoted staff, often described as friendly and attentive, add to the overall experience, ensuring every visit feels special.

While most patrons enjoy dining in, should you find yourself caught in the hustle of a busy night, as Aica experienced, the takeout option is equally rewarding. The pizza retains its charm, ensuring that you can relish the tastes of Piazza Sorrento in the comfort of your own home.

One thing to keep in mind is that the crowded nature of the restaurant may not be for everyone. However, the lively atmosphere adds to the charm for many diners. Narmin Gahramansoy thoughtfully noted the ambient noise and crowded tables might prompt a quick meal and exit, yet this creates an energetic vibe that many guests enjoy.

In conclusion, whether you're stopping by for a casual slice or enjoying a full-fledged dinner, Piazza Sorrento offers an unforgettable taste of Italy right in Krefeld. It’s more than just a meal; it’s an experience that merges flavor, ambiance, and community. So, grab your friends, make a reservation, and prepare for a delicious journey to the heart of Italy without ever leaving Germany.

Best Napolitano Pizza in Düsseldorf. So clouded and you need reservation.

Nice and busy pizza restaurant in Krefeld. Close to U-Bahn train. Crowded on a Friday evening. Staff friendly. Pizza was quite tasty, almost as good as in many stores in Napoli.

It was difficult to eat inside the restaurant because it was fully booked, so I ordered take away. Still, the pizza was chewy and very delicious! There were various kinds of antipasto, and it was fun! Friendly staff, delicious food. Next time I definitely want to eat at the restaurant. When I visited, the door of the women's restroom was broken! I almost got trapped! Please be careful!

Service is very good. We ordered 2 pizzas. They tasted fine, not so amazing though. I expected more in terms of the food taste. I loved the bread and garlic souce served before the food. Prices are average. The place has very nice ambience. Minus one star because it was very crowded and noisy. Tables are put very densely. Therefore we were trying to eat quickly and run out!)

There is a perfectly grounded reason if Massimiliano was elected as the best pizza baker in 2019. No questions. Hands down. He still bakes the best pizza in Germany.

Definitely the best pizza I’ve had in a very long time! True pizza napoletana!
